Do you have to be a costmetology school graduate in order to work as a hair stylists assistant at a salon?

I want to work as a hairstylists assistant to get a taste of the salon enviroment and to get tips and such from other hairdressers before actually becoming one. Just things like washing and drying hair, sweeping floors, putting away + cleaning supplies, etc.

Do I have to graduate beauty school before I can do that? or do I just need a certain number of hours, or do you not even have to go to beauty school at all to have this particular job? Thanks!Do you have to be a costmetology school graduate in order to work as a hair stylists assistant at a salon?
You need a license to touch clients...But if your just doing regular 'chore' work, like sweeping, and whatnot, You don't need to have a license.Do you have to be a costmetology school graduate in order to work as a hair stylists assistant at a salon?
to be a receptionist and go-for, you do not need a license, but to shampoo, or even touch a client in a retail salon, you do need to graduate.
