If you went to a hair salon and the stylist did a terrible job, would you go back and get it fixed?

My BFF has been going to see this stylist (because she's not as expensive as the other's in the salon,) and she does a TERRIBLE job on her hair. My friend is 58 and very heavyset, and the girl that has been doing her hair is 20 and doesn't have a clue on how to fix a middle aged woman's hair, nor color it properly. She consistantly leaves a HUGE spot in the back of her head untouched and it sticks out like a sore thumb. This last fiasco last week was the worst...the cut for once wasn't bad (she didn't try to make her look like a 15 year old cheerleader with flipped out hair,) but the color was the pits. The spot in back was left dark brown with no highlights on it, the back was highlighted blonde and the front was all GRAY. Instead of looking 58, she now looks like she's in her 80's. She refuses to go back and get it fixed for fear that she'll hurt the girls feelings!!!! she pays 150.00 plus tip everytime she goes. What can I do to convince her to go back and get this disaster fixed? If you went to a hair salon and the stylist did a terrible job, would you go back and get it fixed?
omg first i would not pay the person for the mess that she did and demand that she would fix it ESPEcially if im payin 150.00 plus tip ha..........i would have started somethin rite there in the salonIf you went to a hair salon and the stylist did a terrible job, would you go back and get it fixed?
i think she should've told her on the spot

and yes she should go back get it fixed, and then proceed to find a new stylist

however posting it on citysearch is a good idea, it's very unlikely the owner will find your review

i say you confront the stylist directly
i would DEFINETLY go back to the hair salon trust me i have done it before and they never charge me extra either because i tell them how it is!!
I would go back to complain to the manager. Go somewhere ells to have it fixed. never go there again.
you should have said something then as a hairsylist i would laugh in your face if you trynna come at me later
yah
yes... you should go back ... their service is wrong...
most stylists will be more than happy to fix the problem for free or for cost of the actual product, if you are truely unhappy with the end result.

the stylist would rather be asked to re-do so you are happy in the end then lose a client over it.
wow!!! $150.00 for bad cut and bad color?? I live and work in Los Angeles, and don't pay that much. She should call and speak to the owner and go back and have the owner fix it when the girl is on her day off.

If she won't go back, she should change stylists, she would be better off going to a Beauty College and having students do her hair. At least the teachers would be there to control the errors and she would not spend so much dinero...
usually if you go back or you're not satisfied with your haircut/color whatever it may be, then the stylist will usually fix it for free. so I suggest that she go back to the same stylist and let her know that she'd like something different.

from experience, I had the same problem and I told the stylist right then and there, that's why they ask if you like it or not lol. anyway, she offered to redo, and that was that, no hurt feelings, stylists probably encounter that problem frequently.
what about treating your girlfriend to a great hair cut and dye job at another salon. if she likes it all she would have to do is go in for a trim. if i was her i would never go to the other salon again. sometimes people need friends to take action, so they can help them. you sound like a good friend. good luck
